Adam Dyal Sr.

September 1, 1931 — May 9, 2016

Adam Eugene Dyal, 84 of Folkston passed away May 9, 2016.  He was born in Racepond on September 1, 1931 to Roma Lewis and Ida Mae Yawn Dyal.  He attended Charlton County Schools and helped his father farm, while growing up. He worked in pulpwood, worked at the sawmill and  later retired from Charlton County as Caretaker at Trader’s Hill Campground. He was a lifelong member of Racepond Church of God.

He is survived by his son: Adam Eugene Dyal, Jr. of Folkston; one brother: Rev. Dan Dyal of Ft. Myers, Fl; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Eugene was preceded in death by his wife: Becky Lorena Dyal; daughter: Margie Dianne Dyal;  twin sister: Aline Allen; sisters: Iva Lee Todd, Inez Taylor, Emma Jean Prescott, Mattie Lee and Effie Cannon; brothers: Bennie Lee Dyal, Claude Douberly, Lewis Dyal and R.L. Dyal.

The family will receive friends, Thursday, May 12, 2016 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Racepond Church of God, with services beginning at 11:00. Rev. Dan Dyal and Rev. Jody Griffin officiating. Burial will follow in Racepond Cemetery.
