Alice Christine Murray

Alice Christine Hilton Murray, 74, of Folkston, Georgia passed away at her home Thursday, March 12, 2026.  She was born July 27, 1951 in Charlton County to the late Jesse Madison Hilton, Sr. and Thelma Ellieze Carter Hilton Hartfield.  She retired from Southeastern Bank in Folkston in 2014 after 40 years of faithful service.  She was a faithful member of Sand Hill Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson:  Stetson Powell; 2-sisters:  Esther Menninger and Frances Mishoe and 2-brothers:  Jesse M. Hilton, Jr. and John Hilton.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years:  Lawrence Murray; her children:  Melanie (Rickey) Crews, Blaine (Sabrina) Murray, Jamie Murray and Joanna (Emitt) Powell; 2-sisters:  Helen Hilton and Juanita (Edward) Hurst; a brother:  Rayford (Ineva) Hilton; grandchildren:  Zachary (Rebekah) Crews, Cassidy (Josh) Poblete, Katelyn Murray, Krista Murray, Jon-Erik Murray, Kaylee Murray, Kyrra Murray, Karli Murray, Nathaniel Murray, Kyndall Murray, Piper Murray and Averly Powell; great grandchildren:  Mark Poblete and Margot Poblete and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. She is also survived by a special cousin, Adam Dyal.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 16, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Sand Hill Baptist Church with Pastors Trent Long, Randall Gunter, Donnie Tuten and Emitt Powell officiating.  The family will receive friends at the church an hour prior to the service.  Burial will follow in Racepond Cemetery at Sand Hill Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Sand Hill Baptist Church Building Fund.
