Althea Rice

Althea Alberta Reed Rice, 79, passed away August 22, 2015 in Ocilla, Georgia.  She was born April 2, 1936 to the late Coyle Reed, Sr. and Vera Prevatt Reed.  She was a homemaker and former member of Friendship Baptist Church in Kingsland, GA.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter:  Chrystal Taylor; 2-Brothers:  Robert Reed and Carroll Reed; 3-Sisters:  Alene Morris, Inez Hannah & Vernelle Henderson.
She is survived by 7-children:  Randy (Linda Gail) Long, Vanessa (Herbert) Stokes, Timmy Rice, David (Christy) Rice, Kimberly (Steve) Kovaleski, Betty (Mike) Buckley & Beverly (Billy) Fouraker; 14-Grandchildren and 9- Great Grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 25 at Shepard Funeral Home in Folkston, GA from 6-8 PM.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 26 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Shepard Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Maddox  Burial to follow in Buford Grove Cemetery.
