Mr. Alton "Al" Clyde Gordon, Sr., 78, of Hilliard, FL passed away Monday, August 24, 2026 at his residence.  He was born October 5, 1947 in Jacksonville, FL to the late Alton Buck Gordon and Winnie Juanita Darsey Colson Gordon Darsey.  He was a faithful member of Buford Grove Baptist Church and devoted baritone singer in the choir.  He was the lead singer in the southern gospel group, "Calvary's Love" with his daughter, Nita and wife, Sandy.  He retired from Anheuser-Busch.  He loved being in the outdoors including hunting, fishing and gardening.  Mr. Gordon could fix anything and was considered a "Jack of all trades".

He is survived by his wife:  Sandy Gordon; his children:  Nita Gordon Castle (Jeff), Alton Gordon, II (Amanda); step-sons:  Ryan Solomon and Shane Solomon; a sister:  Patricia Gornick (Bob); a brother:  Timothy Gordon (Nancy) 10-grandchildren; 12-great grandchildren and number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 27, 2026 at noon at Buford Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Keith Carringer officiating.  The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the church.  Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
