Barbara Dean Lee

Barbara Lee Snowden of Folkston passed away July 11, 2026, at the age of 64, surrounded by the love of her family. Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved first husband, David Rowe; her parents, Dean Snowden and Mary Geoghagan; and her sister, Betty Nazworth.

She is survived he her sister: Hazel Harris (John); brother: Jim Snowden (Heather); and many nieces and nephews whom she loved with all her heart.

Barbara had a warmth and sense of humor that drew people to her. She was a fantastic cook who was happiest at someone else’s stove, feeding the people she loved—her porkchops and biscuits were everyone’s favorite.

She found her greatest joy in caring for the children of her family, and she treasured her church family at Grace Chapel Baptist Church. Barbara will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 18, 2026, at Grace Chapel Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. John Boatwright officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Grace Chapel Baptist Church, 65 Grace Chapel Road, Folkston, Georgia 31537.
