Betty Corbett

Betty Ann Thomas Corbett, 71, of Homeland, GA passed away September 22 at her residence following a lengthy illness.  She was born January 1, 1944 to the late Mack Elisha Thomas and Retti Lavada Vinson Thomas.  She worked at Mama D’s Café and the Nursing Homes in Folkston and Jesup.  But mostly she loved taking care of her kids and grandkids.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband:  Charles Junior Corbett and her daughter:  Charlene Corbett Blanton.
She is survived by her 4-Sons:  Ira (Mavis) Corbett, Bruce (Jessica) Corbett, Jefferson (Janell) Corbett & Kenneth (Alice) Corbett; 3-Sisters:  Kathryn (Larry) Young, Barbara Chesser & Kay Thomas; 1-Brother:  Frank (Connie) Thomas; 19-Grandchildren; 42-Great Grandchildren many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 26 at 12 noon in the Chapel of Shepard Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service.  Burial will follow in Jordan Methodist Church Cemetery in Waycross, GA.
