Betty Jane Carter, 95, of Jacksonville, FL passed away at her home on Wednesday, January 10, 2024. She was born in Memphis, TN on August 29, 1928 to the late Henry Carroll Biggs and Willie Mae Holt Biggs. She was a former member of First Baptist Church of Boulougne. Betty loved taking care of her grandkids, cooking and sewing.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband; Robert Carter, and 6-children; Lawrence Carl Biggs, James Patrick Fosbenner, Franklin Duane Fosbenner, William Henry Fosbenner, Sara Mae Fosbenner Warr, and Ruth Elaine Fosbenner Chitty.

She is survived by her daughter; Janice Fosbenner Fike, sister; Myrtle Biggs Gray, and a plethora of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Friday, January 12, 2024 at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Oakwood Cemetery with Henry Allen officiating.
