Betty Melba Simmons

Betty M. Simmons, 89, passed away Saturday December 23, 2023. She was born in Pierce County, Georgia on April 23, 1934 to the late George Barnard and Mattie Crews Jones.

She is preceded in death by her husband; Edwin L. Simmons, daughter;

Julia L. Simmons Cox, 4 brothers and 5 sisters.

She is survived by her son; David W. (Karen) Simmons, daughter; Deborah A. (Wayne) Sheffield, granddaughters; Sarah A. (Joseph) Villella, Stephanie M. (Bobby) Oakie, Jillian R. (Rob) Palmatier, Karina D. (Wesley) Crews, Victoria R. (Matthew) Batten, 18 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at Pigeon Creek Cemetery in Hilliard, FL with Father Dave Simmons officiating.
