Betty Mizell Woolard, 70, of Folkston, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2026. Born on June 29, 1956, in Folkston, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Marie Mizell.

Betty was a faithful member of Philadelphia Free Will Baptist Church. She dearly loved her grandsons and found great joy in cooking for family and friends and reading her Bible.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Hilda Grace Musgrove, Joyce Connie Mizell, Donald Mizell, and Carolyn Mizell.

She is survived by her daughter, Amber Popham of Leesburg, Georgia; her two grandsons, Gannon Popham of Omaha, Nebraska, and Lance Popham of Folkston, Georgia; her brother and sister-in-law, Layton "Buddy" Mizell and Debra Mizell; as well as several nieces, nephews, and other beloved family members.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 27, 2026, at Sardis Cemetery with Rev. Jacob Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends at the cemetery one hour prior to the service.
