In Loving Memory of Brandon Scott Woolard

March 25, 1982 – July 7, 2026

Some people spend a lifetime collecting acquaintances. Scott collected friends.

With his unmistakable smile, booming laugh, generous heart, and remarkable ability to make everyone feel like family, Brandon Scott Woolard left an impression wherever he went. Whether you knew him for decades or met him only moments before, Scott had a way of making you feel seen, welcomed, and valued.

On Wednesday, July 7, 2026, Scott passed away at his home in Yulee, Florida, at the age of 44. While his passing leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of those who loved him, the life he lived, the friendships he forged, and the family he cherished leave behind a legacy that will endure for generations.

Born on March 25, 1982, at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi, Scott was the son of an Air Force family. As an Air Force brat, he spent his childhood living in Ocean Springs, Mississippi; Frankfurt, Germany; Fort Walton Beach, Florida; and Del Rio, Texas. While military life allowed him to experience many places and cultures, there was only one place he ever truly considered home: Folkston, Georgia. It was there that his family’s roots ran deep and where many of his fondest memories were made.

Scott graduated from Charlton County High School in the Class of 2000. During his high school years, he was a member of the Charlton County Indians football team, helping earn the school’s historic 1999 Georgia State Football Championship. That championship represented far more than a trophy. To Scott, it embodied teamwork, perseverance, lifelong friendships, and hometown pride, values he carried throughout his life.

Professionally, Scott built a career in property maintenance and served as a Superintendent with Webber in Jacksonville, Florida. He genuinely loved his work and took tremendous pride in being part of such a respected organization. He was admired not only for his knowledge and work ethic, but also for the respect he showed others and the trust he earned in return.

To know Scott was to know someone whose personality filled every room he entered. He effortlessly struck up conversations with complete strangers who often walked away feeling like they had known him for years. His quick wit, infectious laugh, and larger-than-life personality made him unforgettable. Beneath that confident exterior was an exceptionally compassionate heart. He never hesitated to lend a hand, offer encouragement, or simply be present when someone needed a friend.

Scott possessed a rare gift that cannot be taught. He made people feel important. His kindness was genuine, freely given, and never offered with the expectation of recognition. He simply believed people mattered.

Above every accomplishment, every hobby, and every friendship stood the greatest joy of Scott’s life: his family.

Scott absolutely adored his girls.

His beloved wife of twenty years, Kendra, was the love of his life, his best friend, and his steadfast partner through every season. Together, they built a home filled with laughter, unwavering love, and countless treasured memories.

His daughters, Bekka and Harper, were the center of his world. Nothing brought Scott greater happiness than simply being “Dad.” He cherished opening Pokémon cards with Bekka, celebrating every rare pull as though it were his own, and sharing in the excitement through her eyes. With Harper, his beloved “Heart Warrior,” he was determined that her life would be filled with as much joy, adventure, laughter, and happiness as possible. Every milestone was celebrated, every victory cherished, and every opportunity to create another memory embraced. His love for his daughters was unmistakable. They were not simply his greatest accomplishment. They were his greatest purpose.

Scott was also a devoted son who never outgrew being a proud Momma’s Boy. His love and respect for his family were evident in everything he did. Family was not simply important to Scott. It was the foundation of his life.

Outside of family, Scott embraced the simple pleasures that made life rich. Saturdays in the fall belonged to the Georgia Bulldogs, and few fans wore the Red and Black with more pride or enthusiasm. He was an avid coin collector who appreciated the history and stories behind every piece, and he enjoyed sharing a good bourbon with family and friends, always in moderation and always accompanied by great conversation.

Scott embodied what many would describe as a true Southern gentleman. He carried himself with quiet confidence, treated others with respect, believed in looking people in the eye, shaking their hand, and leaving them better than he found them. He was a proud Georgia boy, a devoted husband, a loving father, a loyal son, a faithful brother, and the kind of friend whose absence leaves an immeasurable void.

Scott is survived by his devoted wife of twenty years, Kendra L. Woolard; his cherished daughters, Bekka A. Woolard and Harper G. Woolard; his mother, Anita F. Woolard of Yulee, Florida; his father, Chief Master Sergeant (Ret.) Mark W. Woolard of Fernandina Beach, Florida; his brother, Brian D. Woolard of Yulee, Florida, and Brian’s partner, Robert L. Tracey, whom Scott was so happy to call his brother-in-law; his stepsister, Lindsey Dean of Ocean Springs, Mississippi; his mother-in-law, Jane Swain; his sisters-in-law, Nicole and Kayla; his beloved niece and nephew; along with a large and loving extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his stepmother, Leslie Woolard; his grandparents, Marlin and Joann Sanders, Betty H. Smith; and his great-grandparents, Arthur and Lessie Bennett, and Pinkie Ola Jones.

Scott’s family will receive friends and celebrate his life on Friday, July 17, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home in Folkston, Georgia. Additional service and interment information will be announced by the family.

The measure of a life is not found in titles earned, possessions accumulated, or years lived. It is found in the lives forever changed because someone was here.

Scott never met a stranger, only friends he had not yet made. His kindness, laughter, and unwavering love for his family will continue to live on through every story that is shared, every smile that remembers him, and every life he touched.

Although our hearts are broken beyond words, we are forever grateful that we were blessed to call him our husband, our dad, our son, our brother, our uncle, and our friend.

Well done, Scott.

We love you. Always.
