Cecil Geiger

Cecil Joe Geiger, 62, of Hilliard, passed away June 11, 2007 at St. Vincent's Medical Center following a lengthy illness. He was a native and life long resident of Hilliard, Florida. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Boulougne. He was a United States Army Veteran. He was the son of the late Frankie and Clara Estelle Hodges Geiger. He was preceded in death by his son: James Robert Ray Geiger and a brother: Robert Ross “Bobby” Geiger and Jimmy Geiger.

He is survived by his wife: Ruby Geiger of Hilliard; 3-Children: Tony Pursell of Daytona Beach, FL, Shawna (Robert) Battles of Yulee, FL, and Jessie (Katie) Williams of Hilliard; 6-Grandchildren; 3-Great Grandchildren; a sister: Glenda (David) Robinson of Jacksonville Beach, FL; 2-Brothers: Ray LizAnne) Geiger of Callahan and WB (Laverne) Williams of Jacksonville, FL.

The family will receive friends Friday June 15 at Shepard Funeral Home in Folkston beginning at 6:00 PM. Funeral services will be held Saturday June 16 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Boulougne with Dr. Robert Tibbs officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery in Hilliard with military honors.
