Charles Larry Crews

Charles Larry Crews, 80, of Folkston, GA passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at Hospice Satilla in Waycross. GA following an extended illness. He was born April 02, 1945, in Folkston, GA to the late Charles Basil Crews and Annie Emaline Altman Crews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 23 years, Gussie Larene Drury Crews, and a stepson, Bill Roddenberry.

He is survived by his sisters and brother-in-law, Annette and Marshall Dell, Joyce Bryant, and Elaine Beverly; a step-son: Buck Roddenberry (Debra); step-grandchildren: Lauren Farmer, Maggie Austin (Michael), Olivia St. Peter (Harrison), Jay Steedley (Kristen) and Harley Roddenberry; nieces and nephews: Michael Lee Dell, David (Angie) Dell, Suzanna (Mark) Lee, Jason Bryant, Joy Anna Baucum and Sherri Deloach; great nieces and nephews: Phillip Dell, Brandon Dell (Mallory) , Benjamin (Tristan) Dell, Taylor (Will) Williams, Noah Chahata, Shannon Baucum, Logan Deloach, Laine Deloach and London Deloach; great-great nieces and nephews: Baker Dell, Tucker Manders and Emmaline Williams.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 14, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Chapel Baptist Church with Pastor John Boatright officiating. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lee Drury, Brandon Dell, Benjamin Dell, Will Williams, Mark Lee and Michael Austin.
