Charles Nelson

Charles Bryant Nelson, 69, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away Tuesday May 29 at his residence. A native of Hilliard, he had been a resident of Jacksonville for the past 4 years. Elder Nelson had been Pastor at Little Phebe Primitive Baptist Church of Folkston for several years, before retirement. He was employed by Wal-Mart in the maintenance department. Survivors: Wife: Mary Lou Nelson of Jacksonville, FL; Son: Gene (virginia) of Callahan, FL; 2-Daughters: Sandra (Joe) Williams of Kingsland, GA and Karen (Henry) Keene of Elizabeth, TN; 2-Brothers: Richard and Perry Nelson both of Fernandina Beach, FL; 2-Sisters: Doreen Parker of Hilliard, FL and Margie Roddenberry of Cairo, GA; 10-Grandchildren. 9-Great Grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Friday June 1, 2007 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Shepard Funeral Home in Folkston, GA with Elder Arnold Lightsey officiating. Interment will follow at Little Phebe Cemetery in Folkston, GA.
