Chloe McElroy

Chloe Margot Sherdile McElroy, 64, of Hilliard, FL passed away August 15 in Jacksonville, FL from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.  She was born in Victorville, California on October 24, 1956 to the late Willie H. Morrison and Sammie Morrison.  She was a housewife and a member of Buford Grove Baptist Church.

She loved walking on the beach and picking up shells.  She loved to read books, especially her bible.  She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband:  Manuel McElroy; children:  Tori Jones of Ruskin, FL, Talisa Hurst of Hilliard, FL, Ashley McElroy of Hilliard, FL, Brittany McElroy of Jacksonville, FL, and Carmen McElroy of Hilliard, FL; a sister:  Holly Edelen of Jacksonville, FL; brothers:  James Morrison of Jacksonville, FL and Wayne Morrison of Jacksonville, FL.; grandchildren:  Christopher Pittman, Ellis Pittman, Markus Pittman, Na’Riyah Austin, Sophia Miller, Kingston Miller, Aiden Nail, Ares Nail, Legend White, Delaney Jones and Jordan Jones; nephew:  Jason Edelen; nieces:  Kaci Morrison and Kelli Morrison.

The family will receive friends Saturday, August 21 at Buford Grove Baptist Church from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM.  Funeral services will begin at 1:00 PM at the church.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Due to Covid-19, the family would like to ask all attendees to please follow the rules of social distancing and face masks are recommended at the service.  Also, anyone that does not feel comfortable with attending the service, the family would like you to know they understand and covet your prayers.
