Dell L. Dinkins, Sr.

Dell L. Dinkins, Sr., age 88, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, July 27, 2022. He was born March 12, 1934 to the late Dan and Celeste Dinkins. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church. Dell was a member of the Charlton Co. Saddle Club for many years. He was an avid race car builder and had a love of motorcycles, fishing and horses.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother; Danny Dinkins.

Dell leaves behind his wife, as of August 17, 2022, of 70 years, Ruth Evelyn Dinkins, his children; Dell (Julie) Dinkins,  Jr., and Betty (Keith) Woolard, 3 grandchildren; Aaron (Jonathan) Preston, Brad (Erika) Woolard and Lee (Amber) Dinkins, 11 great-grandchildren; Meagan, Hanna, Becca, Emma, Charli, Graycee, Jaymee, Waylon, Jack, Boone and Flint, his siblings; Annette (Bert) Geiger, Gene (Yvonne) Dinkins and Goldie (Robert) McCullers, and a sister-in-law; Faye Dinkins.

A funeral service will be held at Victory Baptist Church on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Sardis Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Satilla Hospice.
