Donald Reed

Donald Hughie Reed, 81, of Hilliard, FL passed away December 9, 2015.  He was born in Hilliard, FL to the late Coyle Reed, Sr. and Vera Mae Prevatt Reed.  He was a truck driver and owned a number of restaurants in the Hilliard area with his wife Cookie Reed.  He proudly served his country in the US Army.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife:  Mary Lois “Cookie” Reed; a grandson:  Gregg Howarter, Jr.; 2-Brothers:  Carroll Reed & Bobby Reed and 4-Sisters:  Inez Reed Althea Rice, Alene Morris & Vernell Henderson.
He is survived by his 3-Children:  Michael (Gayla) Reed, Donna (Gregg, Sr.) Howarter, & Deborah (Clarence) Evans; 4-Grandchildren:  Chad Reed, Kevin Reed, Emily Holmes & Brittany (Darin) Young; a Sister:  Frances Rhodenbarger; 5-Brothers:  Coyle Reed, Jr., Cleveland Reed, Dallas Reed, BT Reed, & Glenn Reed and 5-Great Grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Sunday December 13 at Shepard Funeral Home from 6-8 PM.  Funeral services will be held Monday December 14 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Shepard Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Wolgamott officiating.  Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Hilliard, FL.
