EMERY GRIFFIS

Emery Lesley Griffis, 84, of Hilliard, FL passed away November 4, 2017.  He was born September 2, 1933 in Starke, FL to the late Sidney Franklin Griffis and Katie Bell Chase Griffis.  He proudly served his country in the US Army.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife:  Ora Lee Tomberlin Griffis;  5-brothers:  Purvis Griffis, Kling Griffis, Jr Griffis, Millard Griffis and Gary Griffis; 5-sisters:  Margaret Batten, Alice Reviency, Opal Griffis, Gloria Triest and Jackie Ellington.
He is survived by his daughter:  Kathy Griffis; 4-sons:  Franklin Hobbs, James Hobbs, Hank Hobbs and Teddi Hobbs; a brother:  C.B. Griffis; 10 grandchildren; 19-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Monday, November 6 at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home in Folkston, GA from 6-8 PM.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 7 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Pigeon Creek Cemetery with military honors.
