Fed Gilbert Privett

Fed Gilbert Privett, 92, of St. George, GA passed away at his home September 21, 2026 following a lengthy illness.  He was born January 2, 1934 in St. George, GA to the late Fed Privett and Nancy Raulerson Privett.  He was a 1952 graduate of St. George High School and retired in 1992 from Duplex Products.  Mr. Privett served on the Charlton County School Board for 8 years.  He was a member of Oak Grove Primitive Baptist Church and attended River Road Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother:  Walter Horace Privett and a great grandson:  Jude Gibbs.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years:  Agnes Olivia Clark Privett; 2-children: Fed Gilbert Privett, Jr. (Grace Ann) and Laura Denise Privett; grandchildren:  Fed Dylan Privett, Grace Caryn Washinger Gibbs and Katelyn Denise Nelson Stahl (Nathan); great grandchildren:  Emberlee Denise Stahl, Lexi Gibbs, Brandon Gibbs and Lyla Gibbs

A graveside funeral service will be held Saturday, September 26, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Johnson Cemetery in St. George, GA with Elder Kyle Lloyd and Bro. Hal McIntosh officiating.  The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Mr. Privett's honor to Satilla Hospice, 811 Beacon Street, Waycross, Georgia 31501.
