Freida Lafane Crews Nettles

Freida Lafane Crews Nettles, 84, of Homeland, Georgia passed away on Monday, May 22, 2023. She was born in Folkston, Georgia on April 4, 1939 to the late Arch D. Crews and Dossie Harris Crews. Freida received her GED at the age of 67 and then began helping others achieve their goal at the Adult Education Center in Folkston. She sold Tupperware for a number of years. She was a faithful member of the Folkston Church of God since 1972.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband; L.C. Nettles and a son; Carl Nettles.

She is survived by her 4-children; Yvonne Hallman, Pam Renshaw, Jesse (Cyndee) Nettles, and Mike (Tanya) Nettles, a sister; Clarice Mullins, a brother; Lamar Crews, 12-grandchildren, and 18-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at the Folkston Church of God. A service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at Folkston Church of God with Rev. Rob Gillis officiating. Burial will follow at Bachlott Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jess Nettles, Chase Nettles, Gage Nettles, Trevor Renshaw, Jared Renshaw and Dylan Renshaw.
