Gencie Crawford Rewis

Gencie Crawford Rewis, 90, of St. George, GA, passed away at her home on Sunday, June 22, 2025. She was born in Moniac, GA on February 12, 1935, to the late John D. Crawford and Gussie Reynolds Crawford. Gencie was a member of Moniac Baptist Church. She retired from Southern Bell after 30 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was an avid Florida Gators and Jacksonville Jaguars fan.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband: George Clinton Rewis: sisters: Thelma Gainey, Ruby O’Quinn, Neal Bates and Retha Mae Raulerson; and brothers: Celdon Crawford and Gene Crawford.

She is survived by a sister-in-law: Carolyn Sue Crawford; step-daughter: Cheryl Rewis McDaniel; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at Moniac Baptist Church. A service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at Moniac Baptist Church with Pastor Matt Rouse and Pastor Frederick Raulerson officiating. Burial will follow at North Prong Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Clarence (Buddy) O’Quinn, Johnny O’Quinn, John Phillips, Craig Crawford, Chris Huling and Jerry Carter.
