Gene Murphy

Rev. Gene Richard Murphy, 80, of Hilliard, FL, passed away Monday, May 4, 2020 in Jacksonville, FL.  He was born May 11, 1939 in Bluefield, WV to the late Joseph Murphy and Dorothy Mae Moore Murphy.  He proudly served his country in the US Army.  He was a Pastor and Christian Counselor for the Assemblies of God in Lakeland, FL for a number of years before his retirement.  He was a member of the First Assembly of God in Hilliard, FL.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his 2-sons:  Ryk Murphy and Joseph Murphy

He is survived by his wife of 61 years:  Sarah Elizabeth Murphy; a daughter:  Cindy Murphy Sivik and her husband, Tom; 3-grandchildren:  Tiffany Nichole Sivik, Cally Nichole Miller and husband, Tommy, and Trina Nichole Williams and husband, Dalton; 2-great grandchildren:  EllieMae Grace Miller and Mason River Williams.

Graveside funeral services will be held Friday, May 8 at Floral Memory Gardens in Dade City, FL at 2:00 PM with Rev. Norm Bradley officiating.
