George Crowther

George H. Crowther, Jr., 71, of Folkston, GA passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at his home following a lengthy illness.  He was born February 21, 1951 in Patuxent River, Maryland.  He retired from Gilman Building Products after over 30 years of service.  Mr. Crowther was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Jacksonville, FL.  He was a hardworking man who loved his family dearly.  He enjoyed working on motorcycles and spending time watching his cows and wildlife.

He was preceded in death by his father:  George H. Crowther, Sr.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years:  Trish Crowther; his children:  Brenda Whitehead and her husband, Roy, Denise Lee, Robbie Lee and his wife, Renee, and Jeremiah Clymer; his mother:  Geraldine T. Crowther; a brother:  Jack Crowther; his grandchildren:  Joshua (Brittney) Whitehead, Ashley (Caleb) Rice, Brandon (Lolita) Collum, Justin Collum, Brittni (Kyle) Dennison, Peyton (Amber) McCalip, Jerod Lee; 9-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, April 23 at 11:00 AM in Sardis Cemetery with Rev. David Herrin officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of the Golden Isles.
