Gerald James Delicato

Gerald James Delicato, 92, passed away on Monday, January 19, 2026. He was born in Detroit, MI, on June 30, 1933, to the late Roger Delicato and Mary Wilkins. He was a retired truck driver and served in Korea in the United States Army. He was also a member of the Honor Guard of VFW. Gerald married Barbara Ann Kosich and they lived in Dearborn Heights, MI, for most of their 69 years of marriage.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife: Barbara Ann Delicato; a son: Mark Steven Delicato; and 3-siblings: Dorothy Willet, Theresa Helfrich and Charles Delicato.

He is survived by his children: Craig Alan Delicato (Tanya) and Cindy L. Dethloff (late Keith Dethloff); 8-grandchildren: Steven Delicato (Scout), Deanna VanderVeen (Michael), Tyler Delicato (Jackie), Justin Delicato (Bailey), Cameron Delicato (Kaylee), Megan Delicato, Jason Dethloff (Elena), and Shawn Dethloff (Erin); and 8-great-grandchildren.

Memorialization will be by cremation.
