Geraldine Knowles Butts

Geraldine Knowles Butts, 87, of Folkston, GA passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2022. She was born in Folkston, GA on February 9, 1935 to the late Jeffrey Knowles and Lula Lloyd Knowles. Geraldine was a lifelong member of Camp Pinckney Baptist Church. She was a 1954 graduate of Charlton County High School. She loved flowers and working in her flower garden.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband; Thomas R. Butts, her daughter; Valerie Popham, 2 sisters; Beulah Spradley and Inez Riggins, and 6 brothers; Thomas Knowles, Lonnie Knowles, Emanuel Knowles, Arthur Knowles, Gene Knowles and Howard Knowles.

She is survived by her daughter; Gayle (Dennis) Register, 3 granddaughters; Anna (Jessie) Futch, Kayla Chancey and Kassidy (Jordan) McCarty, and a great-grandson; Ryder McCarty.

The family will receive friends at 10:00am on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Camp Pinckney Baptist Church. A graveside service will follow at 11:00am at Camp Pinckney Cemetery with Bro. Tim Hall officiating.
