Gordon Franklin Hand

Friday, March 29^th, 2024, God called home Gordon F. Hand. Gordon was born March 18^th, 1952, in Tampa, FL.

Gordon was a 1974 graduate of Nuernberg American High school in Germany. He was enlisted in the United States Army as a Field Artillery Crewman and a Unit Supply Specialist from 1972-1975. Gordon was stationed at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. While enlisted, Gordon received a National Defense Service Medal. He retired from Sysco Jacksonville.

Gordon is predeceased by his father, Eli Hand; his mother, Katie Hand; his four brothers, Sammy Merchant, Curtis Hand, Eli Joe Hand, and William G. Hand; and his two sisters, Debra Gill and Kathy Hand.

Gordon leaves behind his loving wife, Linda Joann Hand of Folkston, GA; his children, Darrell (Donna) Crawford of Jacksonville, FL, Franklin Scott (Beverly) Hand Sr. of Folkston, GA, and Amanda Worth of Folkston, GA. Also surviving are his sister, Kay Beasley of Jacksonville, FL; his grandchildren, Kory (Autumn) Bryant of Hilliard, FL, Constance (Matthew) Bennett of Folkston, GA, Kylee (Dalton) Thompson of Nahunta, GA, Jordan Hand (Kelly) Allen of Orange Park, FL, Grace Worth, Taylor Worth, and Franklin Scott Hand Jr. all of Folkston, GA; his 8 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Gordon was known for his love of family, as well as his love for Jesus. He also enjoyed fishing, playing poker with his family, Hallmark movies, crime shows, country music, the Miami Dolphins, and the Miami Hurricanes. 

Memorialization will be by cremation.
