Hettie Laverne Neece, 83, of Hilliard, FL passed away Friday, February 16, 2024 in Jacksonville, FL following a short illness. She was born October 26, 1940 in Jacksonville, FL to the late Eugene McMahel and Jewel Louise Nicks McMahel. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Fred Neece; a son: Jimmy Darrell Hogge; and 2-brothers: Gene McMahel and Wayne McMahel.
She is survived by her children: Randy (Tanya) Goodman, Wanda Elsea and Sandra De La Cruz; 2-sisters: Annette Hicks and Sue McMahel; 2-brothers: Dale McMahel and Wallace McMahel; grandchildren: Katherine Elsea, Amy (Jeff) Duffy, Avery Cox, Brandon (Sara) Goodman, RJ (Kayli) Goodman, Dillon (Wynter) Goodman, Liam Goodman and Randilynn Goodman; great grandchildren: Londyn Goodman, Kallie Goodman, DJ Goodman, Jayden Duffy, Ava Duffy, Maverick Goodman and Dominic Goodman.
A graveside funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 27 at Buford Grove Baptist Church Cemetery at 2:00 PM. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the cemetery.
