Jo Ann Nettles

Jo Ann Lee Nettles, 72, of Unadilla, Georgia passed away Friday, September 13 at her home following an extended illness.  She was born July 2, 1947 in Nahunta, Georgia to the late Jessie Marvin Lee and Hester Ann Morgan Snellgrove.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers:  Leslie Marvin Lee Sr, Larry Fairless Lee, a sister Odell Lee Nettles, and a great grandson:  Sampson Spurlock.

She is survived by her husband of almost 55 years:  Cleveland Morgan Nettles; 4-children:  Rachel Ann (Bruce) Wainwright, Lisa Faye (Jimmy) Spurlock, Joseph Cleveland (Melissa) Nettles and Sarah Louise Nettles; 2-brothers:  General Franklin Lee and Joseph Ezra (Karen) Lee; 12-Grandchildren and 9-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Monday September 16 at Shepard-Funeral Home from 6-8 PM.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 17  in the chapel of Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home at 10:30 AM with Rev. James D. Aycock, Jr. officiating.  Burial will follow in Homeland Cemetery.
