Joe Ann Howell

Joe Ann Howell, 82, of Callahan, FL passed away Saturday, July 26, 2025 in Fernandina Beach, FL following a lengthy illness. She was born May 24, 1943 in Starke, FL to the late Roy Christopher Johnson, Sr. and Leona Addison Johnson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 3-sisters: Carol Rowe, Louise Richardson and Vivian Wofford and 3-brothers: Billy Johnson, Roy Johnson, Jr., and Lonnie Johnson

She is survived by her children: Earl Howell (Lorraine), Jean Tierney (David), Erik Howell, Jerri Nash (George), Terri Mathis (Shelby) and Richard Howell (Laura); 3-sisters: Pansy Burnett, Bonnie Davis (Jim), Sharon McCormick; 17-grandchildren and 25-great grandchildren

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 30 at 2:00 PM in the Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Trey Keene officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 30 from 12-2 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in High Bluff Cemetery in Hoboken, GA.
