Joelyn P. Hoover

Joelyn P. Hoover, 92, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2026. She was born in Folkston, Georgia, on February 22, 1934, to the late Joseph Allen Prevatt and Ellen Altman Prevatt. Joelyn graduated from Orange Burg Nursing School in South Carolina. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Panama City for a number of years.

She is survived by her children: Kevin Hoover, Bruce (Sandra) Hoover, and Stacey (David) Smith; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 3 nieces and 3 nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at Sardis Cemetery in Folkston, Georgia, with Bruce Hoover officiating.
