John Joseph Bulford

John Joseph Bulford, 88, of Hilliard, FL passed away at his home on Monday, March 30, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Jacksonville, FL on October 2, 1937, to the late William Guy Bulford and Edna Jones Bulford. John served his country in the United States Navy. He was an avid motorcycle rider. He loved boating, hunting and fishing. John also had his pilot license.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother: William Guy Bulford, Jr.; and a son-in-law: Parker Davis.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years: Virginia Bulford; 5-children: John Bulford, Jr. (Rhonda), Sherrie Hansen (Chuck), Amy Sanderson (Frank), Katherine Davis, and George Bulford (Susie); 13-grandchildren: Johnny, Ally, Bryce, Travis, John, Tanner, Samuel, Mathew, Audrey, Ethan, Mikey, Rydon, and Autumn; 7-great-grandchildren: John David, Thomas, Jayce, Kora, Jack Parker, Gabe, and Lainey; brother: Sidney Bulford (Jan); and sister: Nancy Clavier (John).

A service will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home in Folkston, GA with Father Peter Corbin officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Hilliard. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Pallbearers will be Travis, Ethan, Mathew, Samuel, Tanner, Bryce, Johnny III, and J.D.

The family invites everyone to gather for a meal at the Bulford home following the service.
