John Calvin “Johnny” Johnson, 62, of Hilliard, passed away October 5 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the son of the late Reginald Earl Johnson, Sr. and Mildred Lois “Pete” Johnson. He was a former member of the Charlton County Saddle Club.
He is survived by his wife: Tina L. Johnson; 4-Children: Darlene (John) Tait, Natalie (Craig) Newvine, Nathan (Kimi) Johnson, and Gabrielle Nicole Nettles; a Brother: Reginald Earl (Martha) Johnson, Jr; a Sister: Regina (Toby) Dukes; and 6-Grandchildren: Brooke (Blake) Johnson, Marla Suzette Tait, Calvin Douglas Newvine, Kalianne Grace Newvine, John Lucas Johnson, and Thomas Haze Johnson. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter: Samantha Diane Newvine.
The family will receive friends Thursday, October 8 at Shepard Funeral Home from 6-9 PM. Graveside funeral services will be held Friday, October 9 at 10:30 AM with Rev. Ray McMillan officiating.
