Johnnie N. Johnson, 89, of Folkston, GA passed away Monday, July 3, 2023 at his home following a lengthy illness. He was born in Boulougne, FL April 24, 1934 to the late Freddie Johnson and Anna Nichols Cox. He proudly served his country in the US Navy and retired from the US Coast Guard. After his military service, he worked for the United States Postal Service in Jacksonville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Fay Davis Johnson and a step-daughter: Robin Adler.
He is survived by his children: Sandra Tripp and Tammie Johnson; step-children: Charles Howard Adler and Candy (Sam) Freer; his grandchildren: Alexander Tyler Freer, Anna Faye Brazell, Ashley Nicole (Daniel) Lloyd, Jennifer Kathleen Neely and Jillian Cassandra (Tristian) Marion Martini and great grandchildren: Trinity Brazell and Danica Lloyd.
The family will receive friends Saturday, July 15 at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home in Folkston, GA from 1-2:30 PM. A graveside funeral service will be held Saturday, July 15 at 3:00 PM in Pineview Cemetery in Folkston.
