Joseph “Joe” Ginn Stebbins, 62, of Folkston, Georgia passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2023. Joe was born March 10, 1961 in Jacksonville FL, to Harris and Lenita Stebbins. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Folkston, Georgia and Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church in Callahan, Florida. Early in life he was a member of the National Bass Association, and he was an active member of the Knights of Columbus.
Joe was also the beloved husband of Elaine B. Stebbins for 32 years. He was a wonderful father and provider, who loved being with his family. Joe will forever be remembered by his beloved wife; Elaine Stebbins, his son, Cody Stebbins; his daughter, Ellen Stebbins(Dillon Greene); his godson/nephew, Noah Rosell; and his honorary grandson, Easton Greene as well as his brother, John Stebbins; his brother, William Stebbins (Donna Palmer); his brother Harris Stebbins; his sister, Regina Stebbins-Gallardo (Erich Gallardo); his sister, Lenita Moore; his sister Juanita Winn (David Winn); his father Harris A. Stebbins. He will also be remembered by his many nieces and nephews.
Joe is reunited in heaven with his best friend, John Boehemke; his sister, Lorna Norris; his nephew, Johnny Stebbins; his in-laws, Didoy and Trinidad Beltran; his Uncle in-law, Earnest Alemeria; his godson, Christopher Scott Beasley, and his beloved mother, Lenita Stebbins.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home. A repass will be held at St. Francis of Assissi Catholic Church immediately following the viewing. A Funeral Mass will be held at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, 10472 Beach Boulevard, Jacksonville, Fl, at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Catholic Heart Mission Work Camp c/o Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. The family is choosing to honor Joe’s love for the Florida Gators by asking visitors to wear orange, blue, or fan paraphernalia.
