Joseph “Jerry” Merrill Brown, 65, of Homeland, GA passed away Sunday, September 19 in Jacksonville, FL. He was born September 2, 1956 in Houma, LA to the late Amos Merrill “Pete” Brown and Sara Elizabeth Stuart Brown.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother: Frederick Houston “Ricky” Brown.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years: Janet R. Brown; his children: Tresca Brown, John Brown and Danielle (Bill) Musgrove; a sister: Becky (Pete) Salko; his grandchildren: Kara Prescott, Bryan (Emmalee) Brown, Kyler Prescott, Andrew Brown, Lucas Brown, Brayden Musgrove, Wesley Musgrove and Bryce Brown; a great grandchild: Mason Mainor and many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
The family will receive friends Thursday, September 23 at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 24 at 1:00 PM in the Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Homeland Cemetery.
Due to Covid-19, the family would like to ask all attendees to please follow the rules of social distancing and face masks are recommended at the service. Also, anyone that does not feel comfortable with attending the service, the family would like you to know they understand and covet your prayers.
