Julie Bird

Julie Bird, 75, of Folkston, GA passed away December 15 at Hospice of the Golden Isles following a lengthy illness.  She was born in Ragland, AL July 19, 1941.  She was a member of Camp Pinckney Baptist Church but formerly attended the First Baptist Church of Boulougne.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years:  Tommy Bird of Folkston, GA; 2-Children:  Benny Peavey of Callahan, FL & Julie McHale and her husband David of Folkston, GA; 2-Step-children:  Lisa Bird & Kelli Powers and her husband Randy both of Jacksonville, FL; a brother:  Braxton Poe of Ragland, AL; 3-Grandchildren:  Lane Gilley, of Branchville, AL, Shea Gilley and his wife Marina, of Nahunta, GA & Cole Powers of Jacksonville, FL; 2-Great Grandchildren:  Kaden Gilley & Weston Gilley; and  a number of other relatives.
The family will receive friends Sunday, December 18 at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home from 6-8 PM.  Funeral services will be held Monday, December 19 at 11:00 AM at Camp Pinckney Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Hall officiating.  Burial will follow in Pineview Cemetery in Folkston, GA.
