Karl Heinz Gerhard Ewald

Karl Heinz Gerhard Ewald, 84, of Deland, Florida passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2023. He was born in Schwedt, Germany on March 3, 1938 to the late Fritz Friedrich Karl Ewald and Elisabeth Martha Erna Ewald. Karl worked for Pfizer Medical for 43 years.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son; Gerhard Ewald.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years; Sheryl Diane Nelson Ewald of Deland, FL, his daughter; Elizabeth Sheryl Sims of New Smyrna Beach, FL, his son; Karl Lothar Ewald of Deland, FL, 8 grandchildren, 2 nieces, and 4 nephews.

A service will be held at 11:00am at Pigeon Creek Church in Hilliard, Florida on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 with Bro. Lester Nelson officiating. Burial will follow at Pigeon Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Karl Ewald, Pete Cameron, Blaze June, Curry Nelson, Karl Anthony Ewald, and Michael Todd Kepler.
