L. DeWayne “Wormie” Bowyer, Jr., 59, of Folkston, GA, passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2025. He was born in Fort Myers, FL on October 17, 1965, to Lloyd DeWayne Bowyer, Sr. and Carol Drechsel Baggett. Wormie never met a stranger. He was a well-known mechanic and sheetrock hanger for over 30 years.
He is preceded in death by his father: Wayne Bowyer; and sister: Terri Bowyer.
He is survived by his mom: Carol Baggett; daughter: Amber Roberts; 3-sons: Dylan Bowyer, Michael Bowyer and Daniel Bowyer; and grandson: Austin Turner.
A memorial service will be held at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home at 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 8, 2025.
Memorialization will be by cremation.
