Larry Nelson Tucker, 77, of St. George, GA passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at his residence. He was born in Moultrie, GA on April 26, 1947 to the late Ernest A. Tucker and Hilda May Tucker. Larry was a member of Brandy Branch Baptist Church in Bryceville  FL. He retired from the construction industry after working for many years as a foreman. He along with a few other guys started the Station 4 Georgia Bend Fire Department where he was the chief for ten years. He loved hunting and fishing. More than anything, though, Larry loved his family. His children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren were the absolute joys of his life.

 Larry was preceded in death by his parents: Ernest Tucker and Hilda Tucker

 Left to deeply mourn his passing is his wife of 50 years, Geraldine Tucker and his children:  Sharon Tucker, Pamela Anderson(Gary), Heather Ware( Floyd), Michael Tucker(Jamie); his grandchildren: Stanley Perry, Andrew Perry, Kristen Portch (Anthony), Kayla Portch, Sarah Jane Portch, Madison Armstrong, Gracie Ware, Harleigh Ware, Savannah Rooker, Hayden Griffis, Clayden Tucker, Kenze Tucker, Kristopher Tucker, and Kalvin Tucker; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; his sisters: Carolyn Stivender, Darlene Cannon and Ernestine Ingram; his brother: Doyle Tucker; and other relatives.

 The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 15, 2024 from 1:00-4:00 PM at the home of Larry and Geraldine Tucker. A graveside service will be held at 4:00 PM in St George, GA at The Tucker Cemetery with Bro Everett Pringle officiating. Pallbearers will be Michael Tucker, Gary Anderson, Andrew Perry, Stanley Perry, Floyd Ware, Kurtis Stivender, Randall Waters, and Lyle Cannon.

The family would like to sincerely thank all of the Golden Isle Hospice employees for the amazing care shown to our loved one these past 3 months, especially Karon. They showed so much compassion and love and we could not have done this without them.
