Lonnie Ray Cox, Jr.

Lonnie Ray Cox, Jr., 64, of Folkston, GA passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2022. He was born in Folkston, GA on October 4, 1958 to the late Lonnie Ray Cox, Sr. and Margie Woolard Nelson. Lonnie retired from the military in 1995 after serving 20 years in the United States Army, 82^nd AirBorne.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 43 years; Julia Cox.

He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law; Karina (Wesley) Crews, and Victoria (Matthew) Batten, 5 grandchildren; Jada Marie Crews, Zachary Scott Crews, Tayla Leanne Crews, Mary Elizabeth Batten and Brooklyn Rose Batten, and 3 sisters; Patricia Cox, Marie Truitt and Linda Kitchens.

A celebration of life service will be held at 5:00pm on Friday, October 21, 2022 at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Memorialization will be by cremation.
