Lynn Cribb Johnson, of Folkston, GA passed away Wednesday, September 8 in Jacksonville, FL following a courageous battle with Covid. She was born July 11, 1965 in Folkston, GA to the late Homer Arthur Cribb, Sr. and Judy Ann Murray Cribb. She worked with the Charlton County Sheriff’s Office as a 911 Dispatcher for more than 30 years and recently promoted to 911 Director. For many years she was the calm voice that many first responders heard.
She is survived by her husband: Don Johnson; children: Amber Peete and Nicholas Turner; her precious grandchildren: De’Ana Peete, Shana Peete and Tavin Turner; 3-brothers: Robert (Joanne) Cribb, Art Cribb and Brian (Dana) Cribb and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
The famly will receive friends Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home in Folkston, GA from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 15 at 11:00 AM at Philadelphia Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Ray McMillan and Rev. Billy Champion officiating. Burial will follow in Haddock Cemetery in Kings Ferry, Florida.
Due to Covid-19, the family would like to ask all attendees to please follow the rules of social distancing and face masks are recommended at the service. Also, anyone that does not feel comfortable with attending the service, the family would like you to know they understand and covet your prayers.
