Manda Lee Prescott Johns, age 92, went to be with her Lord on June 11, 2024. She was born in Charlton County, Georgia on April 21, 1932 to the late John Everett Prescott and Leetie Virginia Crews Prescott. She is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, J.E. Johns, her parents, one brother, Everett Britton (Brit) Prescott, two infant sisters, two infant brothers, and one son-in-law, Rev. E.C. Crews.

She is survived by four children: Charles E. Johns, wife Lena of Hilliard, FL; Joan Johns Conner, husband Donnie Conner of Hilliard, FL; James Britton Johns (J.B.) of Folkston, GA; Carolyn Johns Crews of Alma, GA, ten grandchildren; Kevin Johns, wife Joann of Hilliard, FL; Rev. Jason Johns, wife Nancy of Lake Butler, FL; Tara Conner Franklin, husband Bobby Franklin II of Hilliard, FL; Gannon Conner, wife Amy of Hilliard, FL; Erin Conner Owens, husband Rev. Ted Owens of St. Johns, FL; Rev. Garrett Conner, wife Lara of LaPlata, Maryland; Tiffany Johns of Nashville, Tenn.; Jessica Knight, husband Wesley Knight of Orlando, FL; Charity Crews Flowers, husband Shannon Flowers of Hortense, GA; and Chad Crews, wife Mandy of Nahunta, GA; 27-great-grandchildren, and 3-great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves a special niece, Myra Johns Glisson, and husband Steve. Manda Lee leaves two sisters, Janie Ruth Voight of Seminole, FL, and Linda Kilis of Georgetown, FL, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Manda Lee worked with the Charlton County School System as a substitute teacher for 13 years. She was a receptionist at the Board of Education for 3 years. She coordinated the Migrant Program in the school for 13 years. Manda Lee retired to be at home with her sick husband. After he went to be with the Lord, she worked at Charlton County Public Library for 2 years. She then worked at the Charlton County Health Department for 7 years. In her spare time, Manda Lee authored a book about her mother being raised in the Okefenokee Swamp. Manda Lee leaves a large family and a host of friends she worked with over the years. Family and friends were precious to her.

The funeral will be 11:00 AM on Monday, June 17, 2024 at Riverside Baptist Church in Brantley County, GA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Riverside Church Cemetery. Preaching the funeral will be grandson, Rev. Jason Johns, grandson, Rev. Garrett Conner, grandson-in-law, Rev. Ted Owens, and her pastor, Rev. Randy Wainwright.
