Marlin Sanders

October 5, 1935 — November 25, 2018

Mr. Marlin Sanders, 83, of Folkston, GA passed away Sunday, November 25 in St. Marys, GA.  He was born October 5, 1935 in Bell, Florida to the late Willis Manning Sanders and Myrtle Mock Sanders.  He retired from the Charlton County Road Department and loved fishing in his spare time.  He was a member of the Masonic Lodge F&AM  # 130 in Branford, FL and Shriners Morocco Temple in Jacksonville.  Mr. Sanders was a member of Victory Baptist Church.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joann Woolard Sanders.

He is survived by his daughter:  Rebecca Maples; 6-step-children:  Cathy O’Berry, Keith Woolard, Kenny Woolard, Mark Woolard, Garry Woolard, and Michael Woolard; 16 grandchildren; 20-great grandchildren; a special friend and caregiver:  Jane Robertson and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 29 at Victory Baptist Church at 3:00 PM.  Rev. Tim King will officiate.  The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 1 PM on November 29.  Burial will follow in Camp Pinckney Cemetery.
