Mason Richard Ogletree, 30, of Folkston went home to be with the Lord Monday, November 29, 2021.
Mason was a 2010 graduate of charlton county high school and a 2018 graduate of the Electrical Training Alliance of Jacksonville. He was employed with Jacobs at Kingsbay Naval Base and a former member of IBEW 177, TWU 526. He was an amazing daddy and incredible husband, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. You could always come to him for help and a listening ear. Mason was loving, funny, kind, patient and more dependable than words could say. Mason had a way about him that made everyone calm and could make even the hardest heart laugh. He was a true example of a good man. He loved Jesus and his family and friends.
He leaves to cherish his every memory two children, Tait and Kaidence Ogletree; his high school sweetheart and wife, Marla Ogletree; his parents, Heather and Duane Ogletree; a brother, Connor (Leah) Ogletree; a sister, Amanda Whitley, of Colorado; grandparents, Laurene Huffman, of Jacksonville, Richard and Marjorie Huffman, of Alabama, Lowell and Rebecca Ogletree, of Jacksonville, and Marion Rehburg, of Callahan. He also leaves his parents-in-law, John and Darlene Tait, of Homeland; a sister-in-law, Brooke (Blake) Johnson, nieces and nephews, Miley, Jasper, Sophia and Henry Johnson, all of Homeland; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Pallbearers will be Connor Ogletree, John Tait, Jason Bruton, Michael Eastman, Blake Johnson, Lucas Johnson, Haze Johnson and Todd Ussery; and honorary pallbearer, Calvin Newvine.
A visitation will be held Friday, December 3 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home in Folkston, Georgia. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 4 at 3:30 p.m. at Camp Pinckney Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Sardis Cemetery.
