Maybelle Johnson Schultehenrich

Maybelle Johnson-Davis-Schultehenrich was born on May 14, 1937, in Nassau County, Florida, to Anna Nicholas Johnson.

She married Curtis Mack Davis, and together they had six children. The family lived in Folkston, Georgia, until 1975, when they relocated to St. Louis, Missouri. Before moving to Missouri, Maybelle worked at the Egg Processing Plant in Boulogne, Florida, and at the pants factory in Homeland, Georgia. She devoted herself to her family as a wife and mother while also working at Kmart. Later, she became a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and worked at Carmelite Nursing Home and Gardenview Nursing Home until her retirement.

Maybelle later married Richard Schultehenrich, and they made their home in Wentzville, Missouri. She passed away peacefully at home on June 20, 2026, following a fall and medical issues.

Maybelle cherished spending time with her family and was blessed to see five generations of her family grow. She loved the outdoors, whether sitting and listening to nature, tending her flower beds, or attending sporting events. She had a passion for growing plants and flowers and could never have enough of them. She also enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and quilting.

She is preceded in death by her mother: Anna Cox; stepfathers: Kermit Henderson and Lonnie Cox; husband: Curtis Mack Davis, Sr.; grandchildren: Stephanie Kay Davis, Curtis M. Davis, III, and Austin Royston; 5-brothers: Freddy, Thomas, Johnnie, Darrell, and Marvin; and 2 daughters-in-law: Denise A. Davis and Conne A. Davis.

She is survived by her children: Marcia Diane DeMello (Herbert J.), Curtis Mack Davis Jr. (Jean), Thomas Matthew Davis (Karen Hodges), Barbara Jean Bueckendorf, Christopher Hall Davis, and John Paul Davis (Indira Corrinne); grandchildren: Bill Hickox, Steven Davis (Daris), Kevin Davis (Tara), Dawn Davis, Thomas Joseph Davis (Kari Turner-Davis), Caroyln Michelle Woodbeck (Seth), Curtis Ellis Chancey (Stacey), Sean Michael Davis, Jordan Vincent Davis, Yann Kieran McClure, Shannon Marie Davis-Claudson and Sofia Annabelle Davis; great-grandchildren: Gage Nettles, Kelsey Mainor (Zach), Bryce Davis, Logan Davis, Kyle Davis, Eleanor Sage Davis, Ariel Davis (Ivy), Aurora Davis, Merida Davis, Belle Mae Davis, Connor Kroll, Carter Kroll, Kayla Stallard (Devin), Skye Brianna Chancey, Serenity Mae Chancey, Royln Woodbeck, Dante R. Davis, Sarah Kirstine Davis- Collier (Josh), Gillian Collier, and Jack Collier; great-great-grandchildren: Kaston Knox Mainor, Kason Dane Mainor, Phoebe Jane Stallard, and Leo Sloan Stallard and numerous other relatives that loved and adored her.

A service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home with Elder Lester Nelson officiating. Burial will follow at Homeland Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
