Nellie R Carter, 74, born in Houston Texas to the late Simmie Carter Jr. and Elizabeth McGowan, passed away on June 16, 2026. She was a healthcare worker who cared for others. She loved reading books, cooking, and flowers. She will be missed.

She will be missed by her extended family Jessica Fleming (Joseph), TJ Fleming (Katie), Ryan Andrews (Faith), Adam Fleming, Joe Fleming, and Colton Fleming.

Memorialization will be by cremation.
