Oris Fulks

Oris Dwayne Fulks, 73, of St. Marys, GA passed away Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Southeast Georgia Health System Camden Campus.  He was born October 7, 1948 in Phoenix, Arizona and retired from the Phoenix Police Department.  He proudly served his country in the US Air Force.  He was a loving father and a songwriter.  He was the original McGruff Crime Dog, traveling the country teaching kids to “Take a Bite out of Crime.”

He was preceded in death by his father:  Oris Frances Fulks.

He is survived by his children:  Chad Fulks and Heather Houston; his mother:  Doris Fulks; 2 sisters and a brother and 4 grandchildren.

Memorialization will be by cremation.
