Ray Elijah Guinn Sr., 79, of Homeland, GA passed away at his home August 26, 2025. He was born on March 24, 1946, in Folkston, GA to the late Elijah L. Guinn and ViroLee Guinn. He retired as an Asphalt Plant Foreman after many years of service and spent the last 4 years working for the city of Homeland. He regularly attended First Baptist Church in Folkston and was an avid Golfer. He was a part of the Corvette Club, loved Nascar and Georgia Bulldogs.
He is predeceased by his loving wife of 24 years, Linda Lou Guinn.
He is survived by 7 children: Melissa (Jim) Spencer of Henderson, TX, Brian (Tabitha) Guinn of Henderson, TX, Eric Guinn of Homeland, Jennifer Guinn of Homeland, Ray (Crystal) Guinn Jr. of Callahan, FL, Clifford (Heather) Bentley of Palm Coast, FL, and Christel (John) Lane of Ohio; 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren: brothers: L.C. (Teresa) Guinn of Homeland, Russell Guinn of Folkston, and Thomas Guinn of Hilliard, FL; sisters: Rosa Lee (Robin) Atler of Perkasie, PA and Bernice Paschal of Homeland; a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, August 30 at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home with Dr. Randy Jacoby officiating. After the service all friends and family are invited to the Homeland Park for a get together to honor Ray.
