Rita Wade

Rita Lelia Davis Wade, 92, was received home by her Lord and Savior June 21, 2018. She was born June 26th, 1925 to the late Senator Thomas H. Davis and Lelia Davis. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and friend. Her greatest joy came from her love for the Lord and having her home filled with her family. She was a lifelong resident of Hilliard, FL and a member of First Baptist Church of Hilliard. Along with her parents, sisters, and brother she was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Garland H. Wade.

She is survived by her children Russell (Debbie) Wade, Tom Wade, Mike Wade, Judy (Carrol) Franklin, and Mark (Janice) Wade. Grandchildren Sean Wade, Mandy Lenertz, Tara Wade (Greg) , Dana Wade (Chris), Blair Wade, Garrett Franklin, Greg Franklin, and Joshua Wade. Four Great Granddaughters. Special Niece Vivian Armstrong, many other nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 24 at 3:00 at the First Baptist Church of Boulougne with Pastor Paul Lucas officiating.  The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the church.  Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Hilliard, FL.
