Robert Eugene Dinkins Jr.

Robert Eugene Dinkins Jr. (Robbie), 65, of Waverly, GA passed away on Monday, August 10, 2026, in Brunswick, Georgia. He was born in Waycross, Georgia on October 28, 1960, to Robert “Gene” Dinkins Sr., and the late Jewell Yvonne Johnson Dinkins. Robbie loved nascar racing and was a handyman that could fix anything, so you could always find him tinkering with something.

In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by sister, Julia Marie Dinkins.

He is survived by his daughter, Julie Browning of Kingsland, GA; two grandchildren, Haylie (Will) Piland and Blake Browning of Kingsland, GA; one great-grandchild, Hadley Piland of Kingsland, GA; his father, Robert “Gene” Dinkins Sr. of Waverly, GA; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Victoria (Pete) Peterson of Hawaii and Jacki (Jeff) Garrison of Hull, GA; several nieces, nephews, and other family members also survive.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Funeral services will be held at 12:00pm on Friday, August 14, 2026, at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home with Randall Morris officiating. Burial will follow in Homeland Cemetery. The family will receive friends and family after leaving the cemetery at 891 Orange St., Homeland, Georgia. Pallbearers will be Bert Geiger III, Tyler Garrison, Tanner Garrison, Charlie McCoullough, Jason Kelley, and Alex Blount.
