OBITUARY NOTICE

Romelle Hogan Phipps


Romelle Hogan Phipps, 72, of Newton, died Sunday, March 20, 2016 at her
residence.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 22 at Parker-Bramlett
Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Weaver officiating.  Interment will be 2:00
p.m., Wednesday, March 23 at Pigeon Creek Cemetery in Hilliard, Florida
with Pastor Fruscella officiating.

Pallbearers will be Jeanene Baker, Jerry Davis, Charles Phipps, David A.L.
Phipps, Chuy Hernandez, Danny Snow, Leeann Paul, and Roy Reyes.

Born May 26, 1943 in Jacksonville, FL, Mrs. Phipps was the daughter of the
late Pearlie Hogan and Bessie Leigh Courtoy Hogan.  She was married to the
late Paul Aaron Phipps, Sr.  Mrs. Phipps was also preceded in death by a
son, Paul Aaron Phipps, Jr.; a brother, Julian Lamar Hogan; a sister,
Wyvonne Barnes; a grandson, Brian Stephen Johnson; a granddaughter, Amanda
Darlene Johnson.  Mrs. Phipps was a homemaker and had worked in many
different capacities throughout her career.

Survivors include three daughters, Debra Johnson of Jacksonville, FL,
Jeanene Baker (Jerry) of Newton, and Patricia Phipps of Colquitt;  two
sons, Steven Lee Phipps (Charlene) of Jacksonville, FL and Charles Kirby
Phipps (Missy), of Fairdale, KY;  a sister, Geneva Cross of Newton;  16
grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren;  special friends, Chuy Hernandez
and Roy Reyes.

Visitation will be from 10 – 11 a.m., Tuesday, before services, at
Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home in Camilla.
